Let the Truth Speak Loudly

God’s Word speaks loud and clear on the depth of His love for us, how much He cares for us, how special we are to Him, and how we are to behave (and not behave.)

So, why do I still have days when I question if something I’ve done is enough to lose His love?
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. (Romans 8:38 NLT)
Why are there so many times I do what I don’t want to do, and don’t do what I want to do?
I want to do what is good, but I don’t. I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. (Romans 7:19 NLT)
And how can I ask Him where He is when He’s promised to never leave me?
Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you. (Deuteronomy 31:8 NLT)
God’s Word is Truth! And I have to let the Truth speak louder than the lies the enemy wants me to believe.

Do you have days when the lies try to drown out the Truth?

I’m joining Lisa-Jo today for Five Minute Friday, where she offers a writing prompt and for 5 minutes we write, without editing or over thinking. Today’s word prompt: Loud.

This is my first time joining in, and let me just say, it was trickier than I thought it would be. I may have written for 5 minutes, but I’ve been thinking about it all day! I realize that breaks the “no over thinking” rule, so I’ll have to work on that. {smiles}

In Christ,
Laura

  1. Yes! It's His words that must be louder...that our hearts can be quieted and secure. So glad to have stopped by today :)

  6. Truth louder than Satan's lies. He does tend to be a loud devil, doesn't he? The truth is always there and I want to sense the truth even if the world's noise keeps me from hearing the words.

  7. Thank you for sharing the encouraging answers to such common questions. I think they are questions we all ask sometimes.
