The name of the Lord
is a strong fortress;
the godly run to him and are safe.
(Proverbs 18:10 NLT)
the godly run to him and are safe.
(Proverbs 18:10 NLT)
fortress
- a fortified place; a place of security or survival (Tyndale
NLT Study Bible)
Where do
you go when you are afraid, lonely, hurt, confused, weak, tired and weary, and
ready to give up?
Run to
the Lord where He provides shelter, comfort, and safety. He loves on us with
compassion and gives us rest.
Spend
time with God in prayer and in His Word where He guides us and gives us peace.
There is nothing the Lord cannot handle. Let Him calm you from anxiety and
fear, and strengthen you as only He can.
In
Christ,
Laura

Well, we used the same verse, but different translation and different photos. Yours is neat! Since I know the Lord laid it on me to do it, and you did, there must be people who will read our verses and have their hearts touched. How cool is that?
ReplyDeleteVery cool! This verse touched me when I read it and I knew it was the one for today. I love to watch God bring several of us to the same verse or theme at the same time!
DeleteBlessings,
Laura
Very cool to see you both using the same verse - in your own voices!
ReplyDeleteLove this photo!! As well and verse choosen!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read Caryjo's post! That's amazing you both used the same verse. And this is one of my favorite verses. Running into is safe, strong arms!
ReplyDeleteAmen! That was the verse God gave to me years ago when we were unemployed, running out of money, running our of housing, running out of insurance and I was pregnant with 3 young children. He is so faithful!
ReplyDeleteI love this -- it is so true! When we run to Him, we will find refuge! Blessings, Laura!
ReplyDeleteHi Laura - this is such a great truth. As i get older, i am learning to sooner run to the Lord, my strong tower
ReplyDeleteGod bless
Tracy
I think the word that jumped out to me in your post, Laura was the word RUN. No self doubting or second guessing, no maybe I will turn and go, no well if this doesn't work out, I slowly get back to God....no RUN to HIm! i needed that reminder today. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI love this...the photo and the verse are perfect together!
