(1 Samuel 16:7 NLT)
We see what’s on the outside, but God knows our
hearts. Changes we make on the outside don’t penetrate our
hearts, but changes God makes in our hearts produces change in our outward appearance and behavior.

ReplyDeleteHi Laura - I am so grateful that God sees us and who we are through our hearts and not be our outward appearance. God knows all those dark patches inside but still loves us completely.

He changes us from the inside, out.
ReplyDeleteThis is so true. And, as time went forward, it was revealed in Samuel's and David's time and other lives what the truth was. We just can't so easily see behind the "skin"... we sure need to trust the Lord's wisdom instead of our own.
ReplyDeleteWhat a relief it is that He sees our hearts and doesn't judge us from our appearance(s)
ReplyDeleteand yet--how scary that is that He sees our hearts...
I'm striving to take the latter thoughts out of the equation.
Thank you for your encouragement, Laura!
