When You Feel Alone

Encourage 24/7 is no longer active, but you can find this post in its entirety here: When You Feel Alone.

Have you ever felt alone and lonely, even while having family and friends around you?

It doesn’t make sense, but it happens.

Maybe you know what I’m talking about.

When it feels like there’s no one to talk to.

No one who understands or has time for you.

No one who cares what you have to say, or is interested in your dreams and goals.

Join me at a new site today called Encourage 24/7 where I’m talking about my experience with loneliness.

Feeling alone is not new. From the days of the Old Testament to days we haven’t seen yet, loneliness is a part of life—and it’s also a time to move in closer to God.

Has there been a time in your life when you felt alone, despite who was around you? Share your experience by leaving a comment here or at Encourage 24/7.

In Christ,
Laura

  1. Dear Laura
I relate very well with loneliness, for I struggle with Fibro / CFS and it can leave you quite housebound. But I have learned through this illness how to walk and live closely with our Lord Jesus, so I am not lonely anymore for I share my whole day with Him and He is soooo interested about everything that happens in my life. What a joy! Over fron Jen's.
    Have a blessed week

  2. Having moved a lot in my adult life, I have often found myself in a new town, not knowing anyone. Those times could be very lonely. I am an introvert and it takes some time for me to establish friendships. Through this journey I learned that Jesus truly is the greatest friend I could ever hope for. He has been with me through it all. And through his loving ways, He has ultimately brought so many wonderful friends into my life. I look back at all the places I've lived with a full heart knowing that He connected me to such special people in each place.
