Contagious Attitudes {Something to Think About}

I recently read this on a sign outside a small church…

Attitudes are contagious.
Is yours worth catching?

Have you ever noticed how little time it takes for a negative attitude to spread? Trying not to catch it can feel like a losing battle, but once I’ve caught it…then I’m also spreading the undesirable germs.

How about you? Is your attitude worth catching?

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 15:5-6 NIV

In Christ,
Laura

  1. Well, I try! The wrong attitude sometimes sits on my face, even when I don't think it's "there". Relying on the Lord and the friends He has given me is what/only counts.

    1. I agree, our expressions don't always match our attitudes and feelings. Which is something to remember when I'm "guessing" what another person is feeling or thinking. Thanks for stopping by and commenting! God bless!

  2. Isn't it amazing how quickly our attitudes spread? Thank goodness good attitudes are contagious, too. Thanks so much for joining The Sunday Community this week!

  3. Oh I love that! I better write that down! :)

    Lovely reminder friend and powerful verse. thank you!

    So glad although attitudes are contagious, we get to choose what emotions we express. we have the power to stop the contagion...and turn the focus back on Him. To God be the glory.

    1. I agree, it's something I'm trying to work on...not letting others' bad moods affect me, and controlling my reactions. God has all that we need...we just need to keep our focus on Him. Always!
      God bless you Nikki!

  4. Absolutely true. I spoke to my ten year old this week about a grumpy morning setting a tone in the house. Thank you.

  8. Oh one of my biggest dislike is bad attitudes from people. It takes the same effort to be nice. There is no reason to be rude. good thoughts.
