How We Wait Matters

I’m joining the Five MinuteFriday community with Kate Motaung today…5 minutes, no rewriting, and a one word prompt…

Open

Only One knows the plans He has made for each of us. Paths He puts us on—some intersecting, while others never meeting—but all with purpose. And all for His glory.

We wait for His plans to be made known to us. Some we'll see and others we won't recognize.

But how we wait matters.

For when we close ourselves off, thinking we know our future, we miss what He’s showing us.

But when we open ourselves up to wait expectantly for Him, He will show us more than we can even think to ask for.

More than we can dream or imagine.

So much more than we can ever plan for ourselves.

In Christ,
Laura

  1. Ah, beautiful. Waiting is hard. My prayer as well..for open hands and open heart to whatever He calls us to.

  2. Beautifully written for it truly is "how we wait" that matters. I am pondering this as I type and will for a while. I don't think I wait for Him in the best ways. Thank you, Laura.

  7. Hi Laura--I'm over from Faith 'N Friends blog hop. Being open in times of waiting and how we wait matters--I love these concepts. It is something I need to work on. Thank you!

  8. How we wait matters. YES YES YES! So true. I wish I had time for Five Minute Fridays lately. I miss all the lovelies. Glad you are also learning the valuable lesson Laura, that we must wait and, more importantly, what happens during the wait is as important as what comes before and after. Don't we serve an awesome God? :)
