Temptation {Something to Think About}

For God is working in you giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. Philippians 2:13 NLT

The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
1 Corinthians 10:13 NLT

We do not have to bend under the weight of temptation. We have a way out—Jesus.

When we turn to Him with our struggles and the temptations that threaten to drag us under, He does not leave us on our own. God shows us a way out of temptation and the Holy Spirit works in us to give us the power, ability, and will to do what pleases Him.

When we feel we can’t do it, God is there showing us that through Him, we can do it.

In Christ,
Laura

  3. When I am tempted to do something that I know is wrong, I find great encouragement in knowing that Jesus was tempted too. There is no sin in temptation only in dwelling on the temptation and carrying it out.

  4. The Holy Spirit - that makes all the difference. It did for Peter! It did for Paul! It's not the secret ingredient by any means - but it is often the most forgotten! Thank you for the encouraging words today!

  11. He's IT, of course. Nothing else, NO ONE else can make the difference. [And I just gave in to the temptation of eating some chocolate my husband gave me as I was reading some posts. LOVE it, but now need to fast tomorrow to cut the calories back. HEAVY SIGH!!]
