Each
day.
Right
now.
Here
is where the moments we don’t want to miss are…where memories are made.
Here
is where He is…with us…every step of the way.
Yesterday
haunts us with regrets, but here is where a difference can be made.
Mistakes
corrected.
Forgiveness
asked for, given, and received.
Tomorrow
changed…simply by what happens…here.
There's far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can't see now will last forever. 2 Corinthians 4:18 The Message
It’s Five Minute Friday where Lisa-Jo offers a writing prompt and for 5 minutes we write, without
editing or over thinking. Today’s word prompt: Here.

Here is where He is. I love this. I often allow my mind to drift back to the past. The "Would have's, should have's, could have's" haunt me. And then I want to hurry up for tomorrow, so that I can jump from here to there, forgetting that He's called me to fully live today!
ReplyDeleteBarbie, I feel as if God has been teaching me this very thing this year. It's not such an easy lesson to learn! But through every lesson He teaches, He walks through it with us. Praise God!
DeleteThanks for your visit friend! ~Laura
Yes, we can't undo yesterday's mistakes but we can learn from them. And here is where He is. May I be here also.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post for Five Minute Friday.
Blessings and love,
Debbie
Thank you Debbie! So glad to have you visit today.
DeleteGod bless,
Laura
Love what you have written Laura. I work in Social Work and my immediate thoughts are for the many people who we see who are tired, worn out through the deceit of sin in their lives... dying of illnesses, in need of being 'here' to read this.
ReplyDeleteThank you Wendy. I wonder if anything has the power to drain us of energy the way sin does.
DeleteThis is such a mind-boggling thought: "Tomorrow changed…simply by what happens…here." Such a gift...blessings, Laura, and Happy Friday :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Dolly, for your visit and kind words. God bless!
Deletethis is so right on Laura...life happens now..in the moment and it's the only time we know we have for sure....Enjoy today....I'm gonna live my best life now.
ReplyDeleteI loved this!! And so different from Mary Beth's "Here!" Amazing where just one word can take us in creativity!!
ReplyDeleteI agree Laura - sin drains us of energy... when David kept quiet regarding known sin in his life, even his bones ached and waxed old... unrepented of sin even affects our health.
ReplyDeleteYes, right here with me--in the mistakes and in the forgiveness. There's such comfort in this writing.
ReplyDeleteSo powerful and true....right here right now..in this moment..this day...it holds it all for us..
ReplyDeleteYes, today is all we really have so we need to be content and make the most of it.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Charlotte
