Questions to Ponder— (from the back of the book)
·      Think about a trying time in your life. How has it shaped you into the person you are today?
·      Have you allowed tragedy to change you for the better?

  1. Hi Laura!

The past five and a half years have been a trying time for both my husband and myself. We have experienced a situation which nightmares are made of. We have experienced pressures which few people (thankfully) are familiar with. It has been a time when there has been no-one in our circle of friends whom we can to turn to who understands... apart from the Lord that is.

The situation has made me turn to the Lord and seek His face as I have never done before. In His mercy and grace, God has shown me things in His Word which I would NEVER have known had this 'storm' not entered our lives.

    - He is faithful when all others forsake.
    - He is faithful to grant strength for each situation.

"A bruised reed He will not break
and a smoking flax He will not snuff out.!

    He IS faithful.

    1. Thank you for your comment Wendy!

I think when we find ourselves in a situation we really cannot do anything about is when we learn how to give it to God. I'm not saying it's easy by any means. Sometimes it takes giving it to God over and over. And over again. Until we stop trying to take it back. And it's in those times our potential for growth in faith and trust in the Lord is exponential.

It's also a time we can experience a peace that can only come from Him...because we know there is no peace to be found in the situation.

"He is faithful to grant strength for each situation." Amen! Amen!

      All glory to God!
      Laura
