Hi Laura For a long time in my life I sort of stopped at the " be strong" part, but I have learned that the " in The Lord" part is the most important part of the verse! Visiting from Barbie's.nice to meet you. Much love Mia
I think it's a worldly view that we're supposed to be strong in ourselves and not need anyone else. I was there too. But you're right, "in the Lord" is the most important part. There is no greater strength than that which we find in Him, especially when we're in Spiritual battle! Thanks for visiting Mia. God bless!
A few years ago, in the midst of a challenge, I reached the end of my strength - and had to lean on His strength - and then I finally understood Ephesians 6:10-11! It continually amazes me!
I think of that song, "In Him we live, and move and have our being". It's only in Him where my true strength comes, and from abiding in that place of intimacy! Thank you for linking up!
I love that Scripture passage Barbie mentioned...I also like the way Paul doesn't say try and be strong but rather commands that we be strong. Have a blessed day!
It IS something to think about. We used to have a man in a church we pastored who always said, "He's a mean old devil." He worked with jail ministry and saw first hand how mean. So thankful we have the armor to protect ourselves. And Gold, Himself, to lean on.
