Comfort in Our Troubles {Something to Think About}

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
(2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NLT)

There is purpose in our trials. Although we may not see it at the time, God can bring good from anything and everything in our lives. When we experience trouble and receive God’s love and comfort, we can then be there for others and share the comfort God has given us. He comforts us in our trying times, so we can comfort others in theirs.

God bless you today!

In Christ,
Laura

  3. In the midst of the trouble, the purpose seems far away. It is looking in the rear view mirror that we find clarity. Nice to bump into you here through Barbie's place.

    1. I agree, I may not know what the purpose is in the midst, but it still helps me to know there is one and that one day God may reveal it to me. Thanks for stopping by!

  6. "so that we can comfort others" - and not just our favorites, not just the "worthy" - I love this scripture!

  7. God is not a "waster". Even when He's not the source of our pain or struggles, He will make sure fruit and spiritual gifting bring even more to Him. Never a Waster. And what a blessing that is!

  8. It's such a comfort knowing that no trial is wasted by God and that He uses ALL of it for His glory and to help others. It's something I always need to remember when I'm going through tough stuff, that's not easy though.
    Thank you for the reminder!

  9. What a wonderful verse to remind us that God can truly use our trials for a good work in us. Then we can share it with the people who need a blessing.
